The Californian outfit have lined up five shows around the country this May
In a perfect world, veteran LA rock crew L7 would have already played in Australia this year. But, as one of the bands who publicly pulled out of the ill-fated Soundwave festival ahead of its ultimate cancellation, the upshot is that now we get a handful of standalone headline dates all around the country instead!
Following their promise to "try [their] damnedest" to sort out some make-up dates in Australia this year, the band have made good on their intentions with the announcement of five headline shows around the country this May, kicking off on Friday the 13th at Metropolis, in Fremantle. The band will then head to Adelaide for a show at The Gov on Saturday 14 May, swinging via Melbourne's 170 Russell on Tuesday 17 May on their way up to Brisbane, where they'll perform at the Eaton's Hill Hotel on Friday 20 May.
The band will then head south once again to wrap their Aussie sojourn with a final show at Sydney's Metro Theatre on Saturday 21 May.
L7 are a massively influential act and a living slice of proto-riot-grrrl history, so we'd recommend heading over to Metropolis Touring's website and sorting your tickets as soon as possible; pre-sale gets under way on Wednesday 2 March from 9am, lasting until 5pm the following day (or allocation exhausted).
General release tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 4 March, also via Metropolis Touring as well as the shows' venues.
