Universal Music Publishing Australia (UMPG) have today announced the signing of Melbourne artist Olympia (real name Olivia Bartley) to a worldwide publishing deal.

The massive news comes on the back of her 2016 debut album, Self Talk, and ARIA nomination for Breakthrough Artist.

President of Universal Music Publishing AU/NZ, Andrew Jenkins, and Vice President, Arwen Curson, welcomed the singer to the UMPG team this week.

"I was lucky enough to see Olympia play her number one winning gig of 2016 in Melbourne last year," Curson said.

"She arrived all shoulder pads and metallic brilliance, and tore the roof off with Ziggy Stardust-style sass. I have been hooked ever since.

"Olivia is as impressive a writer as she is performer, bringing originality and creativity in limitless abundance. She's a rockstar and we are thrilled to welcome her to the UMPG family and to join her on what we know will be a long and successful career."

Bartley said of the news ahead of her set at UK's The Great Escape festival this month, "[Self Talk] was made with the help of a small but immensely passionate team, and I'm so thrilled to now include the experienced team at UMP to this project as we move into new work."

Bartley joins a roster that already includes names such as Empire Of The Sun, Peking Duk, The Veronicas, Jessica Mauboy and more.
