In an effort to give the unsung heroes of the music industry a leg up, UNIFIED founder Jaddan Comerford has unveiled the inaugural recipients of their exciting new grant.
Announced during BIGSOUND this year, The Unified Grant comprises of five $5,000 grants to help young people working behind the scenes (photographers, producers, graphic designers, etc.) of the music industry realise their dreams.
This round saw Tram Sessions founder Ashleigh Hills, graphic design Georgia Beach (Office Gossip Design), artists Michelle Grace Hunder and Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore of Her Sound, Her Story, music photographer Neal Walters and producer/engineer/mixer Aaron Dobos awarded grants.
More than 200 applications were submitted, before a panel picked the five winners.

“Choosing five winners was near impossible, but we got there, and I couldn’t be more proud to be awarding The Unified Grant to these extraordinary individuals,” Comerford said.
Details of the 2017 Unified Grant are expected to be unveiled early next year.
