UNFD Are Giving Architects 'Every Last Cent' They Make From The Band's Work

The Aussie label will donate all revenue from the band's releases to honour Tom Searle

Stalwart Aussie label UNFD will pass on all streaming and download revenues from Architects' catalogue directly to the remaining members of the band for the next month, in the wake of the death of guitarist Tom Searle after a three-year battle with cancer.

The company made the statement on their Facebook page this afternoon, acknowledging Searle's passing as "a tragedy that has touched thousands of people around the world".

"This afternoon, someone pointed out to us that their last two albums had re-entered the iTunes Album Chart. Albums are streamed and downloaded a lot following a tragic event," the post read. "Well, we want to encourage that as much as possible. Tom wrote incredible music that affected us and everyone we know in positive ways.

"As such, for every album downloaded or streamed on services for the next month, UNFD won't be taking any kind of cut from the revenue earned. Every last cent we make will go straight to the band.

"We want to encourage everyone to experience the music Tom wrote, we hope that you all take as much from it as we, and hundreds of thousands of their fans around the world, have."
