The car-hire giant has rolled out its popular food-delivery service has been a major success in Melbourne and Sydney.

There’s a scene in the 1993 Silvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock sci-fi blockbuster Demolition Man, where Tex-Mex fast food chain Taco Bell is revealed as the sole surviving restaurant chain in the future. That, of course, is a totally bloody stupid idea – it’s way more likely to be Uber.

The car-hire and food-delivery giant continued its ascent to world domination today by rolling out UberEATS to three more Australian state capitals: Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Melbourne and Sydney have been enjoying the wonders of UberEATS, which has opened up many restaurants to the delivery market, for several months and the success of the service in New South Wales and Victoria has now convinced Uber that the model will be equally viable in other Aussie cities.

To hammer home just how awesome Uber is, there will also be a range of introductory offers to win over the hungry people of Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, including free delivery for a limited time.
