Melb & Syd just got lucky
New Orleans musician Trombone Shorty has fast cemented himself as a Bluesfest favourite in Australia.
His fourth Bluesfest visit next year has him bringing out a bigger version of his Orleans Avenue band and will now also include two sideshows at Melbourne's 170 Russell and Sydney's The Metro.
Shorty's fusion of jazz, hip hop, rock and funk has seen him rise from becoming a bandleader at age six to having Red Hot Chili Peppers take his band out on the road for a North American arena tour in the new year ahead of his Bluesfest appearance.
Tickets for both sideshows go on sale 10am, Wednesday 19 October.
