The finalists for this year's BIGTECH showcase at BIGSOUND have today been revealed.
This year's finalists will showcase their tech products, which includes a real-time music analytics app, a live music and DJ booking marketplace, online tour management tool, music education platform, Spotify-integrated tablature website, event hire aggregator, technologist management, VR video creator and a new musical instrument.
"One of the pivotal things that BIGSOUND provides is the opportunity for emerging artists to be discovered. BIGTECH is a wonderful extension of that, allowing new technologies to be discovered," said QMusic CEO Angela Samut.
"One of the biggest difficulties for any new company is gaining access to the market that their products and services are designed to serve, and BIGTECH was created to do just that."
Finalists will showcase their products at the event from 10am-5pm on 4-5 September at Cloudland, and will pitch their products to a live audience for a chance to win a $5,000 cash prize. They'll also take part in a bootcamp prior to BIGSOUND, where they be mentored by industry experts.
