Tony Hawk Confirms 2020 Australian Speaking Tour

Two intimate shows this April.

More Tony Hawk More Tony Hawk

One of the most influential skateboarding figures of all time, Tony Hawk will return to Australia this year for a whirlwind east coast tour.

The intimate storytelling events will take place in Melbourne and Sydney in April, with Hawk set to share stories from his life and skateboarding career.

Some of the topics that will be explored include: “The origins of ‘do a kickflip’; the infamous 900; the regular existential nightmares that dominate his Twitter feed; and how the hell he became BFFs with a band of gaming nerds from the other side of the world.”

You’d be remiss to talk of the icon without mentioning the legendary Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater gaming series, and so it’s fitting that he’ll be joined by tribute act BIRDMAN: Or The Unexpected Virtue Of A Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band across both dates.

A live Q&A will also be run by TV personality and gaming enthusiast Danny Clayton.
