'Toadie' Revealed As First Contestant On The Masked Singer

"28 years on Neighbours, I tell you this is the shortest job I have ever had!”

Former Neighbours star and cult adored legend Ryan Moloney has been revealed as the first contestant who has been revealed in Channel 10's new season of The Masked Singer.

Toadie masqueraded as The Knight on the show performing Ed Sheeran's Bad Habits. After being unmasked, he hilariously stated, "28 years on Neighbours, I tell you this is the shortest job I have ever had!”

The new season began on Sunday night, and features guessing panel Mel B, Dave Hughes, Chrissie Swan and Abbie Chatsfield. They were unsuccessful in their guessing of The Knight, nominating Nick Cummins, Shannon Noll, Brendan Fevola and David Hasselhoff as the celebrity behind the costume.

The clues that it was Moloney behind the mask included: I am the Knight, the closest that Australia has to true royalty, I am a Knight but I prefer the evening, To get where I am I had to fight my way through, travel to true respect, This is my trusty steed, far happier to see me now than in the past. I like it more than horseless carriages, Easy there lightning, I have other plans, I wouldn’t say I was unforgettable but I am more often forgotten than not, Still, the good people of Switzerland almost sent me flowers, golden ones, but I prefer deep purple.
