After contacting a trainer from his gym to enquire if they knew anyone who could kill his wife, Lambesis met with an undercover agent posing as a hitman. Lambesis gave the agent an envelope containing $1,000, pictures of his wife along with her address and security codes.
When asked specifically if Lambesis wanted his wife dead, he replied "Yes, that's exactly what I want," the prosecutor said.
As part of a plea deal, the metalcore singer now faces a maximum sentence of nine years behind bars along with a $10,000 fine, reports ABC 10 News San Diego.
Lambesis is currently out on bail. Sentencing will take place on May 2.
