Thundamentals, Thelma Plum & More To Speak At Youth Music Conference

The acclaimed Aussie performers join a raft of high-profile acts set to wax philosophical about all things music this June

Sydney's Museum Of Contemporary Art is set to become a forum for music-industry discourse at next month's Feedback youth music conference, featuring keynote speakers Thundamentals and appearances from fellow A-list Aussies Thelma PlumAnnie Hamilton (of Little May), Andy Bull and more.

Also helping to take over the MCA for the day — which boasts guest speakers, panels, resources and networking for aspiring music professionals aged 12-25 — will be KLPJake Stone (of Bluejuice), L-FRESH The Lion and Yeo, with industry figures including Select Music's Katie RynneFBi Radio's Sweetie ZamoraSureshaker's Neal Hunt, and Julia Wilson, of Rice Is Nice Records.

Along with Thundamentals' keynote speech, Thelma Plum will host a songwriting session, while Stone will chair the panel on 'Epic Fails', with Annie Hamilton, Andy Bull, Sweetie Zamora and Neal Hunt. Additionally, KLP will host the 'Just The One Of Us' panel, with L-FRESH, YEO, Katie Rynne and Julia Wilson, and delegates can get up-close and personal with several music mainstays at Industry Speed Dating, where FBi Radio, Arts Law, APRA AMCOS and triple j will be in the hot seats.

Feedback will be hosted by triple j presenter and certified Oz-music doyen Dom Alessio, and is supported by MusicNSW arm Indent, and forms part of the VIVID Ideas Exchange program.

The conference will be held at the Museum Of Contemporary Art from 11am to 4pm on Monday, 13 June; tickets are on sale now from $15 (plus fees) through VIVID Sydney and Indent.
