Thorns announce new release

Local hardcore outfit Thorns have announced a new 7”.

‘Under the Influence’ sees the band offer four new tracks, which is due for a January 2015 release via Washed Up Records.

Thorns write of the 7”:

Thorns can’t stop, won’t stop. This new 7” brings you 4 tracks of what can only be described as strength beyond strength. Something in the way? Thorns will smash it with the lasting dose of southern styled riffage, NYHC inspired breakdowns and even sombre, Kurt Cobain esque vocals. Taking big influences from Madball, Pantera, Crowbar and even Nirvana, this record is sure to remind you of those greats and the classics that they wrote.

Recorded by our good friend Lloyd Carroll in Melbourne, the record was then shipped over to Taylor Young for mixing at 'The Pit' in California and then sent to Brad Boatright in portland for Mastering.

Just like the last record, this will be getting a release by Washed Up Records on January 19th, 2015. All pre orders will receive a bonus song in digital format and an instant download the moment the pre order has been placed.
