King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard — Nonagon Infinity (Flightless/Remote Control)
In what is the band's "heaviest set" to date, Nonagon Infinity "runs in a continuous loop" with each song connected to each other and the record's end linking back to the beginning "like a sonic mobius strip". Production-wise, it's "rough around the edges" and our reviewer ponders whether "Nonagon Infinity ought to have a health warning that side effects may include physical and mental disintegration". We gave it four stars and Album Of The Week.
Luca Brasi — If This Is All We're Going To Be (Poison City Records)
For the "blink-182 led turn of the century" pop punk kids, Luca Brasi's record is "something nostalgic". With singer Tyler Richardson wearing "his Australian accent on his sleeve" — adding authenticity — the only criticism of the album is that it "powers through its ten songs at the same pace, rarely giving you a chance to take a breath". We gave it three-and-a-half stars.

Olympia — Self Talk (EMI)
Self Talk is "at time remarkable", while at others it seems Olivia Bartley is "maybe still working out what to say — and how to say it". Boasting " electronics, spirals and eddies of harmonies, an almost contradictorily powerful yet wispy voice", "beautiful modern pop" and more, it's hard not to draw comparisons to the likes of Goldfrapp and St Vincent. We gave it three-and-a-half stars.
