Sally Seltmann, Neneh Cherry, Twin Forks and more

Neneh Cherry - Black Project (Smalltown Supersound/Balance Music)

Pioneering hip hop voice Neneh Cherry recorded her first album of original songs in 18 years in just five days (woah) and has pulled off a satisfying collection. Despite still possessing her trademark sass and attitude, there is nothing retro about this LP, The Music's Guido Farnell pointed out - who gave the record four and a half stars.

Sally Seltmann - Hey Daydreamer (Caroline)

Sydney singer-songwriter and Seeker Lover Keeper member Sally Seltmann will unveil her latest album tomorrow through her new label home of Caroline, but chances are, you've already heard it. We've been streaming Hey Daydreamer this week on theMusic.com.au - listen to it right now if you haven't yet - or want to again!

Twin Forks - Twin Forks (Dine Alone/Cooking Vinyl)

Lovers of feel-good folk and a bit of the ol' banjo will no doubt get right into the Twin Forks' new self-titled release. The Music's Benny Doyle thinks it's a tad "too glossy and pop" to please the Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes' fanatics but you should just "take it for what it is, hold hands and smile."

Real Estate - Atlas (Domino/EMI)

The third LP from the New Jersey natives drops this week and it sticks to what the band do best - producing easy listening tunes that don't stray too far from the formula of less is more. Fans of the band will "enjoy the subtle shifts and intricacies" of this album, according to The Music's Adam Wilding.
