Against Me! – Transgender Dysphoria Blues (Total Treble/Resist)

The rockers are back with what is probably their most anticipated album. Laura Jane Grace's transgender journey has been well-documented and she has channeled her ongoing experience into the band's music. The Music's Bailey Lions - who is also a transsexual - recently spoke candidly with Grace about her journey and the LP.

Various Artists – Spirit Of Akasha Soundtrack (Warner)

New film Spirit Of Akasha is something of a follow-up to the 1972 classic Morning Of The Earth. A bunch of prominent musos have lended their talents to the soundtrack - POND, Xavier Rudd - and we are streaming on theMusic.com.au right now.

The Algorithm – Polymorphic Code (Roadrunner/Warner)

Part metal, part electronica, French act The Algorithm (who are currently out here for BDO) have put together one brutal release with their latest LP. As The Music's Matt MacMaster said in his review, "this album may give you a coronary."

The Lawrence Arms – Metropole (Epitaph/Warner)

It's been eight years since fans have had a full-length release from these punk stalwarts and thankfully, Metropole won't disappoint their patriotic adorers. The record "sounds like a reunion between three close friends who want nothing more than to share what they've learnt over the past eight years," said The Music's Daniel Cribb.
