Aussie pop-rock stalwarts Thirsty Merc have announced that they will release their fourth studio full-length — their first in four years — on Friday, September 5, through MGM Distribution, to be complemented by a national tour throughout October and November.

The album is titled AAA — short for Acoustic Anniversary Album — and marks the ten-year point since the release of their self-titled debut LP, which went double Platinum and spent just shy of a year in the ARIA top 50.

The new recordings on AAA form a collection of acoustic reimaginings of fan-favourite tracks such as 20 Good Reasons, In The Summertime, Someday Someday, and Mousetrap Heart.

Something like this, maybe?

Said frontman Rai Thistlethwayte in a statement: "I can't believe it's been ten years since we released our debut! We want to say a really big thanks to our fans — they've been amazing. This Merc-tober we'll play this album live on tour and throw in a few newbies too."
