A 26 year-old woman has been confirmed as the third fatality
A third fatality from the SXSW car crash has been confirmed, with another six people still in hospital with injuries sustained from the accident.
The Austin American Statesman (via Pitchfork) have confirmed that 26 year-old woman Sandy Le died Monday morning after remaining in a criticial condition in the days after the crash, which occurred in the early hours of last Thursday morning.
35-year-old Steven Craenmehr, who worked for Dutch booking and promotional agency MassiveMusic and 27-year-old Jamie Ranae West were confirmed as the first fatalities from the tragedy.
The driver allegedly involved in crash, Rashad Owens, has since been arrested and charged with capital murder. He is alleged to have been under the influence of alcohol when the car he was in crashed into the crowd just outside venue The Mohawk.
