They Might Be GiantsAmerican alt-rockers They Might Be Giants — fronted by the two Johns, John Flansburge and John Linnell — are heading back to Australia for a short run of shows, their first since their sold out tour in 2013.
With 17 studio albums to their name and two Grammys (one for a song you definitely sang along to, Boss Of Me, used as the theme song for Malcolm In The Middle), the band are kickstarting their tour in Perth on Monday, 2 November.
They'll then head to Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney, before wrapping up their week at Melbourne's Forum Theatre on Saturday, 7 November.
When the rock mainstays played The Corner Hotel in April 2013, we gave the show a glowing review: "We're treated to two encores, and they finish with an elongated and frenetic version of Istanbul (Not Constantinople), leaving the packed-in audience shattered and ecstatic. Despite a running time of almost two hours, tonight's show finishes far too quickly. We can only hope they don't wait another 12 years to return."
