Booking agency Select Music have struck a deal with emerging 17-year-old singer/songwriter Thelma Plum after she impressed at last week's BIGSOUND showcase and conference.

Performing as part of the Virgin Home Artists website launch, a spokesperson from Select told theMusic.com.au today that “It was evident what an amazingly talented singer/songwriter performer she is, and someone we knew we wanted to work with from the minute the show started.”

They added, “She was a BIGSOUND highlight and another reason why this event has become so important to our industry.”

Managed by Leanne de Souza, any booking enquiries can now be made through Select's Stephen Wade.

The deal continues a big few months for Plum, who first came to attention when she was named the triple j Unearthed winner and performed at the National Indigenous Music Awards.
