The revered British outfit will be in our neck of the woods for Groovin The Moo and a series of sideshows soon
Veteran UK indie outfit The Wombats have added a performance in Brisbane to their upcoming Australian visit for Groovin The Moo and a series of sideshows.
The trio will make their return to the Riverstage for the first time in six years on Monday 1 May for an all-ages outing that newly forms the first of the band's five slated non-festival-related appearances this year.
The wider journey is underpinned by the 10th anniversary of their debut full-length, A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation, which earned them a slew of fans through memorable hits such as Let's Dance To Joy Division and Moving To New York. Their early popularity paved the way for their lauded second and third albums, Glitterbug and This Modern Glitch, and album #4 is on the horizon, with these shows falling at a very special time in the band's career indeed.
The Wombats will be joined for their Queensland gig by German two-piece Milky Chance and local indie outfit The Jungle Giants, both of whom are also touting recent singles — the former, last year's Cocoon, which went Gold in Australia, as well as follow-up singles Ego and Doing Good (all of which will appaer on their imminent new LP Blossom) and the latter, this year's fresh cut Feel The Way I Do.
