More The Waifs More The Waifs

It's been a long time since fans of Aussie folk-rock mainstays The Waifs had the chance to witness the trio live in concert, but that wait is now over, with the band announcing they will be reuniting temporarily for a run of national shows next month.

Donna Simpson, Vikki Thorn and Josh Cunningham will perform seven shows around the country, including four dates in Western Australia, where their journey began over twenty years ago.

Tickets to these shows are available from this Thursday 10 April - except for the show at Tanks Arts Centre, Cairns - tickets can be purcashed for this date tomorrow at 9am. Check out theGuide for details.

During their long and esteemed career, The Waifs released six studio albums, won numerous awards and became an important voice in local music. While it's been three years since their last album Temptation was released, the trio have continued to produce music - most recently, Simpson and Thorn formed their duo The Stray Sisters and have been touring extensively throughout the early part of this year.
