The Voice Australia Welcomes Grammy-Winner Richard Marx In New Teaser

The Voice Australia is gearing up for a huge return.

This year, the fan-favourite singing competition welcomes the iconic Richard Marx, who will be settling into the red chair for the very first time.

Of course, he will be in excellent company, joining a superstar panel of coaches, including Spice Girl Melanie C, The Voice veteran Ronan Keating, and returning powerhouse Kate Miller-Heidke. Previous judges have included such major names as Kylie Minogue, Rita Ora, Jessica Mauboy, Keith Urban, and more.

The hit show aims to discover currently unsigned singing talent in Australia, featuring aspiring vocalists aged fifteen and older. The winners receive a development deal rather than past prizes of record label signings, as well as $100,000 and other prizes. Previous winners have included Karise Eden, Chris Sebastian, and more. Last year’s winner was Reuben De Melo.

With his storied career, Richard Marx will be the perfect fit to nurture Australia’s as yet undiscovered musical talent.

The singer-songwriter has sold 30 million albums worldwide, and has scored a total of 14 number one singles, both as a performer and as a songwriter/producer - he is, in fact, the only male artist in history to have his first seven singles reach the top 5 of the Billboard charts.

The Grammy Award-winner has worked with the likes of Madonna, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Cher, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, John Farnham, and Olivia Newton-John - and that’s just for starters. He released his enlightening memoir, Stories To Tell, in 2021, and his career is clearly showing no signs of slowing down.
