Resurgent Aussie rock rebels The Vines have well and truly asserted themselves as heavyweights on the global scene after following up a burst of interest from worldwide outlets to nab a #2 debut on the FMBQ Sub Modern Rock Radio Charts in the United States for their recent single Metal Zone.
The result puts the band on-par with fellow veterans Spoon, and ranks them slightly higher than current UK buzz act Jungle and fellow comeback kids Death From Above 1979.

The track is the first taste of The Vines’ forthcoming sixth studio full-length, Wicked Nature, which hits Aussie stores in just more than a couple of weeks, on September 2.
The album also heralds The Vines' first independent release, to be put out through an also-named new label on double CD and double gatefold vinyl in Australia, Britain, Europe, the US and Japan, as well as being available worldwide digitally.
