The Vengaboys Announce 25th Anniversary Australian Tour

The famous Dutch group, Vengaboys, will return to Australia and New Zealand for their 25th anniversary in 2023 with their friends Whigfield, Alice DJ, N Trance, Real II Real, and Nick Skitz.

Vengaboys and co will start the tour in Auckland on Saturday, 4 February. They will then come to Australia for three Queensland shows - Gilligan's in Cairns on Wednesday, 8 February, Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, 9 February, and the Night Quarter on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday, 11 February. 

The party doesn't end there; next is the Forum, Melbourne, on Sunday, 12 February, Sydney's Big Top on Thursday, 16 February; Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide on Saturday, 18 February; and ends at Metro City in Perth on Sunday, 19 February.

Known for their hits, We Like To Party, Kiss (When The Sun Don't Shine); Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom; and We're Going To Ibiza, Vengaboys will bring the full party experience down under. With their support acts alongside them, the shows will celebrate '90s pop music in all its glory for a 3-hour extravaganza.

In 2020, Vengaboys reworked their classic song, Up & Down, with Aussie DJ Timmy Trumpet after the track found new life through a TikTok challenge. 

"We've been following Timmy since his sensational gigs at Tomorrowland," Vengaboys said. 

"During our Australian tour, we ended up in his studio in Sydney and made a festival version of Up & Down just for fun. We were stoked and immediately could feel it was a hit in the making!"

Timmy Trumpet added: "Artists like the Vengaboys shaped the music I make today, so when I was given the opportunity to work with such an iconic group, I jumped at it. 

"From the very first time I played it in my set, the response was so overwhelming we just had to release it!"
