The Used's Bert McCracken Joins Channel [V] Full-Time

Three new [V] presenters announced

Lead singer of post-hardcore veterans The Used, Bert McCracken has joined Channel [V] as a full-time presenter.

McCracken, who moved to Australia from the States a couple of years ago, had previously hosted a Soundwave special last year for the Foxtel channel, but has now been promoted to a much bigger role. Model Bambi Northwood-Blyth and DJ Generik, real name Tyson O’Brien, were also revealed as new hosts for the channel today.

Current presenters Danny Clayton, Marty Smiley and Carissa Walford will also remain with the channel.

[V] announced they would be taking a new direction in 2015, with a focus on the term 'music lifetsyle' and the needs and wants of Australia's youths.

"In the coming months we are rolling out content the audience have told us they love. We are calling it ‘music lifestyle’. Both on-air and online, it covers everything from travel to fashion to different music genres," said Foxtel General Manager for Music and Head of Digital, Rebecca Batties.
 
"So stay tuned. The new talent join Danny, Carissa and Marty to each reflect the interests, ambitions and energy of our youth audience – which is music and so much more."
