The Temper Trap Announce 2026 Australian Tour

The shows arrive after The Temper Trap drop 'Sungazer,' their first new album in ten years.

The Temper Trap are embarking on a huge national tour this September and October, bringing the hits and new music to fans across the country.

The tour is a celebration. Having recently announced their new album, Sungazer – arriving on Friday, 10 July, via Mushroom Music / Virgin Music Group – the shows come after the Sweet Disposition hitmakers return with their first full-length album in ten years.

With their latest record, they showcase the explosive, anthemic sound they’re known for, while being more confident than ever. And, they come home after an expansive North American run opening for Muse.

Beginning the run at Forum Melbourne on Friday, 11 September, the shows continue with Brisbane’s live music series, Night At The Parkland, on Saturday, 12 September.

The band then heads to Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Wednesday, 16 September, performs at Sydney’s live music series, Night At The Barracks, on Friday, 18 September, and concludes the tour at Perth’s ICF: Warehouse on Friday, 9 October.

The Temper Trap rose to global attention following the release of their 2008 UK Top 10 debut single, Sweet Disposition, which featured on their debut album, 2009’s Conditions. The record racked up multi-Platinum success in Australia and Gold status in the UK.

The band followed up the success of their debut album with their 2012 self-titled album and 2016’s Thick As Thieves. One of the most in-demand groups from Australia, The Temper Trap has won multiple ARIA Awards and amassed billions of streams.

Opening up about their energetic new album, The Temper Trap said, “With time apart and much personal growth from us all, Sungazer feels like it’s captured the most pure collection of music we’ve ever made.
