The Strokes have announced a massive vinyl box set named The Singles - Volume 01. It features singles from their first three albums, B-sides, special home recordings, demos and live performances.

Set for release on February 23 2023, via RCA Records/Legacy Recordings, the set includes every 7-inch single from their 2001 debut Is This It, 2003 follow-up Room On Fire and 2006’s First Impressions of Earth, as well as rare B-sides from the original single releases such as I’ll Try Anything Once (‘You Only Live Once’ Demo) and Is This It (Home Recording).

All of the singles will be pressed onto black vinyl, with the original album artwork featured on the jacket.

Collectors who are interested in The Singles - Volume 1 can pre-order here.

Formed on the precipice of the 2000s rock movement in 1999, The Strokes quickly rose to fame with their 2001 debut Is This It and have since released six studio albums, all greeted with great acclaim.

A beloved band for over twenty years, Aussie audiences are always stoked when the band takes the trip down under for the summer festival season. Most recently, they did a set at Splendour In The Grass where their set included a healthy chunk of their seminal 2001 album, This Is It, with Albert Hammond Jr.’s impressive guitar work shining as a highlight. Overall though, the set significantly underwhelmed the crowd, with festival-goers commenting on lead singer Julian Casablancas' nonchalant attitude.

Despite the tired performance, Aussie crowds will always have a soft spot for the New York band and wait eagerly for their new album, slated for 2024.
