The Spotify Wrapped Stats Are In; Here's What Aussies Jammed The Most In 2022

Spotify Wrapped marks an exciting time of year for the 456 million listeners on the platform. The streaming giant provides subscribers with a detailed and colourful look at what they listened to throughout 2022, with fun stats like "you were in the top 0.5% of people who listened to [insert non-mainstream artist here]".

The Wrapped results don't come as a surprise if you've listened to much Australian radio or kept up with the ARIA Charts this year - Aussies absolutely love Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, The Kid LAROI, and Ed Sheeran. Podcasts are also in demand here, with The Joe Rogan Experience taking the top spot for the most popular podcast in Australia, followed by ABC News Briefing (#2), Casefile True Crime (#3),  The Inspired Unemployed (#4) and Call Her Daddy (#5). 

Globally, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny is the first person to top Spotify's most-streamed artist list for three years running. 

Wrapped also provides Your Artist Messages: a proven hit in 2021 with messages from more than 100 artists. This year, Spotify has expanded to include statements from more than 40,000 artists like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo (who used the platform to tease new music), J Balvin, Måneskin and more.
