Aussie 'Simpsons' Themed Doom Rock Band Score HUGE Mural In Melbourne CBD

An epic Simpsons mural embiggens the smallest laneway.

Okay, so maybe Finlay Alley in Melbourne might not be the smallest laneway, but it now has the most cromulent mural ever.

Artist Ling ID has teamed with Simpsons themed doom rock band Dr Colossus for a huge 18-meter mural, which was unveiled across the weekend.

“No idea how this actually got approved by the powers that be...or if it did,” the band said via Facebook.

“This absolute belter now watches over the people.”

Ling ID added: “Big thanks to [Dr Colossus] for getting involved and trusting me with this. 

“Now I can tick producing a giant Simpsons themed mural in the middle of the CBD off my list.”

Dr Colossus’ Jono Colliver told The Music that “Ling is one of the most enigmatic and secretive artists getting around the city”.

“The fact that he wanted to work with us is even more bizarre and mysterious than the man himself,” Colliver said.

The past month has been excellent for Dr Colossus, who debuted at #16 on the ARIA Albums chart at the end of May with their latest album, I'm A Stupid Moron With An Ugly Face & A Big Butt And My Butt Smells & I Like To Kiss My Own Butt.
