The all-ages event hits Queen Elizabeth Park next month

More The Rubens More The Rubens

The all-ages Cooly Beachfest is just around the corner, and organisers today have revealed a fantastic line-up of locals to soundtrack the summer soiree, led by The Rubens.

The Hoops hit-makers will headline the inaugural event, flanked by a diversity of drawcards whose ranks include The Beautiful Girls, Dorsal Fins, Bec Sandridge and The Vanns.

The wider event, which takes place roughly midway through the upcoming Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro competitions (13-25 March), will be filled out with a range of attractions to sate the senses, such as food and market stalls and fully licensed bars.

At any rate, it's got the glowing endorsement from festival ambassador and surf legend Rabbit Bartholomew, who enthused of the event in a statement: "I have been attending the Quiksilver Pro for many years now and to have such an incredible event like this complement the happenings in the break is going to help our community to come together even more so and celebrate the things we love most."

The first-ever Cooly Beach Fest hits Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta, on Saturday 18 March. Keeping things nice and poetic, the five-band line-up will play over five hours for the fitting fee of $55.

Tickets will go on pre-sale from 9am tomorrow, 22 February, before general release kicks in at noon on Thursday 23 February.
