The Preatures Sign US Label Deal

Signing to Harvest Records is a huge step forward for the group

More The Preatures The Preatures Profile

Sydney based quintet The Preatures have signed to Harvest Records for the US release of their EP Is This How You Feel? – news which comes mere weeks ahead of their scheduled shows in Los Angeles and New York.

The group have been making waves here in Australia in recent times, even scoring the coveted support slot for Pink on her latest national tour of the country, so now it's time for the group to spread their wings and conquer the US.

TheMusic.com.au understands they fielded a number of offers from interested American labels, before opting to sign with Harvest.

If you've been living under a shell, you can check out the clip for the title track (it's worth $50,000) below:

All songs from the EP were recorded in their studio space Doldrums in Surry Hills, Sydney, and Is This How You Feel? took out Pitchfork's Best New Track when it was released.

The band are signed to Universal in Australia and managed by Andy Cassell at Winterman & Goldstein. They are booked locally by Select's Katie Rynne.

Harvest Records is an imprint of Universal, previously EMI, which had legendary Australian punk outfit The Saints on its roster in the '70s. It is currently home to Death Grips, The Olms, White Lies and BANKS, amongst others.
