The upcoming Australian tour of noisecore legends The Locust has been cancelled in what promoters describe as a "disappointing, complex situation."
The band were due to kick off the five-show run two weeks from now in Brisbane.
"We as the promoters cannot and will not be in a position to have The Locust tour Australia this coming February," claims a statement from Collateral Manage.
"There will be an extension of this statement released soon offering further information. Though now it must be stated as promptly as we can, that tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. If tickets were purchased as Early Bird or Hard tickets, please check your email (prior to Friday) for refund procedures. It is a disappointing, complex situation, that should not reflect upon the band; whom so desperately wanted to tour Australia and play for their many fans. Tickets were selling great! Venues have been amazing! The band and all crew / agents have been a pleasure to deal with. We hope the Locust arrive to Australia in the very near future."
It's been a rough couple of weeks for heavy music fans, with the cancellation of the planned Eyehategod tour, as well as Daughters - who Collateral Manage were also responsible for bringing out - postponed.
