The Living End Smash Corner Hotel Record
Rock trio will play a record-breaking nine shows
Melbourne fans have shown their hometown heroes some serious love as The Living End's epic run of nine shows at The Corner Hotel have completely sold out, beating the record of five sold out shows previously held by Megan Washington and Matt Corby.
Tickets for the Retrospective Tour, which will see the lads play an album per night in full, went on sale three weeks ago and 60 percent of tickets snapped up in the pre-sale. Responding to the demand to see the band's eponymous debut The Living End, two more nights were added to the Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney, the Melbourne and Brisbane shows selling out mere hours after tickets were made available.
The demand to see The Living End's debut album led to two shows being added for The Corner Hotel, which also promptly sold out. It adds up to the record breaking nine sold out shows over twelve days at the venue.
Management are claiming that fans from Ukraine, France, Russia, USA and the UK are all travelling to Australia for the show.
