American alternative rock band The Lemonheads are returning to Australia this May for a special run of shows that will delight their fans.
Set to play two of their most beloved albums, It’s A Shame About Ray (1992) and Come On Feel The Lemonheads (1993), in full, songs like Into Your Arms and My Drug Buddy will be performed the way they were meant to be heard: with a room full of fans singing the words back to the band.
The tour begins at Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom on Friday, 16 May, before heading to Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Sunday, 18 May, Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Tuesday, 20 May, Adelaide’s The Gov on Thursday, 22 May, and Perth’s Freo.Social on Friday, 23 May.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on Thursday, 27 February, at 10 am local time before the general sale opens on Friday, 28 February, at 10 am local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Handsome Tours website.
“I’m beyond stoked to be heading back to Australia, just in time for the release of new music that I’ve been working on, including a single co-written with the incredibly talented Tom Morgan,” The Lemonheads’ Evan Dando said. “Australia has always been a massive source of inspiration for my music, and with new music coming soon, this feels like a dream come true.
“It’s also a special moment for me as we wrap up celebrating the 30th anniversary of It’s A Shame About Ray and Come On Feel The Lemonheads. To be able to mark the end of that era in Australia, a place that’s always felt like a second home, is almost like being blessed to move on to a new moment.”
