British rock band The Darkness might have only toured in Australia last year, but it’s never too soon for a band so fun to make their return.
“This is a special announcement for the people of the antipodes,” the group wrote on Instagram today (21 July).
They added: “We, The Darkness, are going to be performing in a town near you (if you happen to live near any of the towns that we’re playing in).”
The Darkness celebrated the 20th anniversary of their iconic, now-classic debut album, Permission To Land, in Australia last year. Their upcoming tour isn’t another anniversary run: this time, the band will be touring in support of their latest album, Dreams On Toast.
The I Believe In A Thing Called Love rockers will return to Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2026.
Starting the tour at Auckland’s Powerstation on Tuesday, 17 February, The Darkness will then perform in Wellington before heading to Australia and continuing the tour in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart, Fremantle, Frankston, and concluding at Melbourne’s Forum on Saturday, 7 March. You can find all the dates and venues below.

An exclusive Early Bird pre-sale will be available on Wednesday, 23 July, at 12 pm AEST via SBM Presents. The general sale opens on Monday, 28 July, at 12 pm AEST, also via SBM Presents.
Released in March, Dreams On Toast marks The Darkness’s eighth album and sees the rock group as energetic as ever. Featuring huge riffs and an unapologetic swagger, the band have created new fan favourites in tracks like I Hate Myself and The Longest Kiss. Their 2026 tour will be the first opportunity for fans in Australia and New Zealand to experience new songs.
