“Welcome to the family, superstar.”
Aussie breakout sensation The Kid LAROI has just been announced as the newest addition to Scooter Braun’s talent-packed management roster.
As Variety reports, the 17-year-old rapper joins the likes of Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Black Eyed Peas, Carly Rae Jepsen and stacks more on SB Project and will be managed by Braun, SBP president Allison Kaye and general manager Jen McDaniels.
“I remember when I was seven years old and my older cousin took me to go watch the Never Say Never documentary with her when it came out in the movie theatre,” The Kid LAROI told Variety.
“I didn’t really know a lot about Justin Bieber, I was like seven years old, but I remember after watching that movie I was like, ‘Yo, this is the coolest kid in the fucking world.’”
Braun shared his support for the musician earlier today, simply tweeting, “welcome to the family, superstar.”
Last month, The Kid LAROI performed his hit Without You on Saturday Night Live alongside Miley Cyrus, just days after the track returned to #1 on the ARIA Singles chart on the back of the Cyrus remix.

While the original version of Without You originally peaked at #2 following its release last year, LAROI made ARIA chart history in February when his Fuck Love (Savage) mixtape reached top spot, making him the youngest Australian solo artist to score a local #1 album (17 years, five months and 22 days).
LAROI also featured on Bieber's latest album, Justice, which debuted at #1 in March.
The global success of Without You has seen LAROI perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, while music icon Elton John said the young songwriter is going to be "one of the biggest artists in the whole wide world".
Also in May, LAROI won the Breakthrough Songwriter Award at the 2021 APRA Awards.
