Fans of The Kid LAROI have been left devastated after the singer revealed that his highly-anticipated The First Time tour, will now be postponed until October 2024.

Taking to Instagram, the singer explained that it was “logistically impossible” to pull off the shows, though he promised that the wait “will be worth it”.

“We tried to make February work, but it’s proving to be logistically impossible,” he said on Instagram Stories. “I’m sorry to make you all wait a bit longer, but we will need to move the tour to October.”

“We’re working on the details, including some new additions to the line-up and will let you know ASAP.”

“I have a really big surprise and special guest that we just couldn’t finalise in time for February, among a bunch of other logistical stuff,” he explained.

“I wanna give you the best show that I possibly can and make everyone back home proud … I promise that it will be worth it, and I will keep you guys posted on the special guests and everything else that is to come.”

LAROI continued, “I’m truly sorry, but I promise I got you and it’s for the better!”

The Sydney-born star was set to kick off his Australian tour to support his recently released debut album, THE FIRST TIME, in Melbourne on February 2.

THE FIRST TIME dropped November 10 via Columbia, nearly two years after it was first announced last January. Claire Dunton gave it a glowing review for TheMusic.com.au, writing that LAROI “feels and sounds like a real, honest talent that you can’t help but back as an Australian”, and “has perfectly executed the ever-popular ‘90s aesthetic”.

Existing ticket holders have been advised of rescheduled dates and all original tickets will be valid for the new October dates.

Fans will also be able to request a refund if they are unable to make the new dates. To find out how to get a refund, click here.
