The Brissy band are back for their third time at bat
Brissy indie mainstays The Jungle Giants are back in the saddle with third album Quiet Ferocity, unveiling a solid run of Australian headline shows in support of the new record as well as their first-ever New Zealand show.
The band will kick off the mix of 18+ and all-ages outings in their hometown at The Triffid on Friday 18 August (all ages), following through in Byron Bay, Sydney (AA), Melbourne (two shows, one 18+, one AA), Adelaide (AA), Perth, Hobart and the Central Coast before they hop the ditch for their NZ debut.
Fans will have ample time to get across the full spread of new songs before the run gets under way, with Quiet Ferocity due to land on Friday 7 July.
The album has been preceded by a couple of very well-received singles in Feel The Way I Do and On Your Way Down, so it's safe to expect that the rest of the 10-strong track list will be as feverishly lapped up by the faithful upon its release.

"For us, this is a really exciting time to experiment with new sounds and push the set into a new place," frontman Sam Hales said in a statement. "This record has been a really simple transition into a live set, and we can't wait to play the new songs."
A fan pre-sale for those subscribed to the band's mailing list is already available as of this afternoon — check the band's social media for details — while general-release tickets will go on sale from 9am (AEST) this Friday, 9 June. (Kiwi fans will have to wait just a little longer, till midday on Monday 12 June.)
The Jungle Giants will be joined on the tour by Lastlings and Heaps Good Friends.
