Prestigious Australian short film festival Tropfest has unveiled the nominees for this year’s APRA/AMCOS Tropscore, with The Jezabels’ key player Heather Shannon and guitarist Sam Lockwood among the finalists for their work composing music for various films featuring at this year's festival.

They sit alongside 11 others in the running for the $5000 grand prize, with Screen Music Awards nominee Adam Warnock, last year’s runner-up, Henrique Dib, and 19-year-old newcomer Jack Frerer, whose work all accompany material at this year’s Tropfest.

The winner also gets the opportunity to perform at Tropfest in Sydney’s Centennial Park on Sunday 7 December. Stay tuned for this year’s Tropscore winner, which will be announced Monday 1 December.
