More Regurgitator More Regurgitator

The Queensland house that Brisbane icons Regurgitator formed in will be auctioned later this month, Courier Mail reports.

The house in the neighbourhood of Bardon is owned by frontman Quan Yeomans' mother Lien Yeomans, who has lived in it for almost 35 years. The famous rocker says, "I wrote all of the early songs downstairs on a 4-track tape machine … Mum let me set up full drum kits and amplifiers and I made a racket.

"My base [sic] player came downstairs and saw me tinkering away and that’s what kicked it (Regurgitator) off," says Yeomans.

Ms Yeomans says, "This is where Polyester Girl and many of the songs for Regurgitator were composed, mastered and I was mostly the first person to listen to them."

The house has also birthed the idea of popular Brisbane restaurant Green Papaya, housed a cooking school and was where Ms Yeomans wrote and accepted her book publishing deal from Random House.

"It is where both Quan and I felt inspired and creative,” Ms Yeomans explained.

The house hits the auction market on 26 November.
