The Herd Lead First Names For Revamped Snowy Mountains Music Festival

Say hello to Peak Festival

The Snowy Mountains Of Music Festival will return this year - however it will now be known as the Peak Festival.

The Perisher event has undergone a revamp in 2014, with festival director Belinda Shore saying the name change "reflects the festival's growth from a small grassroots festival to a national flagship music event."

“Not only will we be staging bigger name acts but also bands which appeal to a younger generation reaching from blues, world, roots and traditional into pop, hip-hop and soul music,” Shore added.

The first round of names have been revealed, with local hip hop collective The Herd, indie muso Lachy Doley, Melbourne's The Little Stevies and African soul ensemble Dereb And The Ambassadors confirmed at this stage. More acts will be announced over the coming months.

There are also some early bird tickets available now so check out all the details below.

Peak Festival will run from Friday 6 to Monday 9 June. It is proudly presented by The Music.
