Aussie rockers The Cruel Sea are hitting the road once more this May and June, following the release of their new album, Straight Into The Sun – their first full-length in 23 years.
For the upcoming tour, The Cruel Sea are set to perform two sets for fans in theatres across the country, where they’ll perform their latest album in its entirety and run through a set of classics and other carefully selected tunes.
Before the tour begins, the band will offer their Newcastle fans a taste of what’s coming on the theatre tour when they perform at Bar On The Hill on Saturday, 22 March, as part of Great Southern Nights.
The band’s national theatre tour begins at Adelaide’s Dunstan Playhouse on Thursday, 1 May, followed by Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre on Friday, 2 May, Canberra Theatre on Saturday, 3 May, Wollongong’s Anita’s Theatre on Friday, 16 May, Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Sunday, 18 May, Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Saturday, 31 May, Perth’s Regal Theatre on Thursday, 5 June, and finishing at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, 7 June.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, 12 March, at 10 am local time, before the general sale begins on Friday, 14 March, at 10 am local time.

The band said they’re “thrilled” to take their new album on the road. Straight Into The Sun was released last Friday (7 March).
