Syd's 5 Seconds Of Summer land three singles in Top 20
As predicted by mid-week sales figures, US rock'n'blues duo The Black Keys have landed their first Australian number one. Turn Blue, the Keys' eighth studio album, this week debuted in the top spot, beating their previous peak of three with 2011's El Camino.
The Keys knocked the Frozen juggernaut soundtrack off number one (it dropped to four) and also held off Michael Buble, sitting at two with To Be Loved following a late Mothers Day sales bump last weekend. It also meant that posthumous Michael Jackson album Xscape debuted at three.
The week's highest debuting local release was The Beards' The Beard Album, entering at 30. Other debuts this week included Glorious by UK singer-songwriter Foxes (36); I Never Learn by Swedish indie electro artist Lykke Li (38); Nabuma Rubberbands Little Dragon - another Swedish act (44); and hardcore American supergroup Killer Be Killed's self-titled set (47). Melbourne's Closure In Moscow landed their second album Pink Lemonade just outside the top 50, coming in at 58.
While former Australia's Got Talent winners Justice Crew continue to dominate the top of the Singles Chart (with Que Sera), Brisbane break-out act of the year 5 Seconds Of Summer scored the week's highest and second highest debuts - Don't Stop came in at 12 and Good Girls landed at 19. That gives them three tracks in the top 20, as their former #1 and double-platinum hit She Looks So Perfect sits at 20. By comparison, 5 Seconds rivals The Janoskians only landed at 72 with their latest Real Girls Eat Cake.

And, despite the ratings slump for last week's broadcast of the annual Eurovision final, The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Copenhagen compilation rocketed from 97 to 13 in the Albums Chart. Sea Of Flags, the song that Australia's Jessica Mauboy performed during the more impressively rating semi-final debuted in the Singles Chart at 40. Eurovision runners-up, Dutch country duo The Common Linnets, proved popular amongst viewers, garnering not only positive social media feedback but enough sales to land their Calm After The Storm entry at 66. The video of the Linnets' Eurovision performance has been watched over 900,000 times since being uploaded to YouTube six days ago.
