They're celebrating the milestone with a huge run of gigs
Aussie rock icons The Angels are celebrating 40 years as a band and to celebrate this massive milestone, they've announced an extensive tour, which will see them venture around the country.
With more dates expected to be confirmed over the coming weeks, we already know that 25 shows have been locked in between May and August. The band will perform throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western and South Australia.
The tour isn't the only way The Angels are celebrating four decades of classic Aus rock - they're also releasing two new compilations. The Angels - Volume 1 - 40 Greatest STUDIO Hits and The Angels - Volume 2 - 40 Greatest LIVE Hits will feature a plethora of the bands catalogue, including some rarities and earlier recordings. Both albums will be out through Liberation Music on Friday 2 May.
It was also revealed today that The Angels' Face To Face LP will be reissued in vinyl form, along with records from The Easybeats, Stevie Wright and Rose Tattoo through Albert Productions and Sony Music Australia this April.
