10 October 2017 | 4:40 pm | Staff Writer

Dropping another epic artist announcement earlier this week, Fairgrounds Festival 2017 is shaping up to be one of this summer’s must-attend events.

With new additions Gang Of Youths, Stella Donnelly and more joining the likes of The Shins and Future Islands in Berry on 8-9 December, the line-up’s jam-packed with talent.

Here are the Fairgrounds Festival acts you don’t want to miss:

Future Islands

After you witness revered US synth-pop trio Future Islands in the flesh, you’ll have a new appreciation for live music.

Future Islands will touch down in the wake of their well-received fifth studio album The Far Field, having built themselves a reputation as firm live favourites for their energetic, inimitable performances.

The Teskey Brothers

Another act with smooth and powerful vocals are Melbourne-based indie-pop/roots outfit The Teskey Brothers who bring an interesting blues/soul grit to the live arena, having mastered their festival slot in recent years. They dropped their debut album, Half Mile Harvest, earlier this year to much acclaim.

Stella Donnelly

Charming to no end and penning instantly captivating tunes, Stella Donnelly surfaced from BIGSOUND last month as the most talked about acts, winning over everyone who saw her with her powerful voice, lyrics and intimate live show.

Leah Senior

Melbourne singer-songwriter Leah Senior creates a different world with her haunting melodies and produced a timeless masterpiece with 2017’s Pretty Faces, which pays homage to her dark folk roots.

DD Dumbo

The buzz around acclaimed Aussie muso DD Dumbo hasn’t subsided for a second since the release of his lauded debut album, Utopia Defeated, and for good reason. Nominated for Best Male Artist at the ARIA Awards this year, his latest offering was made for the festival stage.
