Taylor Swift is officially – and finally – in Australia on her long-awaited Eras Tour.

It’s a tour that’s broken records and made global headlines, thanks to her surprise songs, announcements, and fandom that hangs on to her every word. When the Australian leg of the tour was announced last June, we doubt anyone saw what would happen next coming: total. Pandemonium.

The demand for Swift’s Eras tour has led to four shows at Melbourne’s MCG and Sydney’s Accor Stadium. She was expected to pull in an estimated 86,000 punters per show in Melbourne, a number already broken when 96,000 attendees rocked up to her first show of the Eras tour last night.

And the show itself? Well, look away now if you don’t like setlist spoilers.

Melbourne won the lottery of Swift’s Surprise Song section of the Eras show, with the singer bringing out rare cuts, Red (on guitar) and the live debut of You’re Losing Me (played on the piano). Swift played the devastating ten-minute version of All Too Well, shortened and extended versions of willow, Fearless, Wildest Dreams, Karma and many more.

Amid her ginormous 45-song setlist, Taylor Swift even had time for an announcement that would send fans into a tailspin, announcing The Bolter, the new edition of her upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, that features an exclusive bonus track. You can find out more about that here.
