It's been a while between drinks
Canadian-born Auckland-based soul songstress Tami Neilson will finally return to Australia this August, bringing with her 2015’s Don’t Be Afraid.
It’s been a while since Neilson last visited, and the new material she has penned since sees a shift into a more personal arena, as it was recorded while her singer-songwriter father Ron Nielson was dying.
Don’t Be Afraid dances around alt-country, blues and soul and includes re-imagined version of songs from Mavis and Pops Staples and the Black Sorrows alongside collaborations with New Zealand favourites like Marlon Williams and more.
The tour goes down mid-August, with all dates and ticketing info in theGuide.
