Tame Impala Issues Show Warning: 'People Experienced Seizures Last Night'

Tame Impala posted a warning to their Instagram stories yesterday, following audience members experiencing seizures during a show at Auckland's Spark Arena.

The band cautioned people who are "susceptible to seizures" as their light shows are pretty intense.

The statement reads: "Hey guys, just a reminder that there are some quite intense visual moments in our show, so please be careful if you think you might be sensitive to such things or susceptible to seizures.

"Also, if you see someone in trouble, do the right thing by your fellow concertgoer and help them/signal for help. We can usually get help there really quickly. We've seen that making some space and making a path is reeallly [sic] helpful (this goes for all kinds of medical emergencies).

They closed the post by writing, "There were a couple of people who experienced a seizure last night which were treated on-site by St John's and thankfully were not major/didn't need to go to hospital. Thanks to everyone who assisted/helped."

Kevin Parker used Instagram as his platform of choice earlier this month to reflect on Lonerism's tenth anniversary. "I felt free to be ambitious, weird, pop, experimental, whatever, and didn't feel judged because I was finally just doing it for myself and believed in myself. For the most part anyway… of course the day came to release it and it all came crashing down and I thought the album sucked and couldn't even imagine people enjoying it," he wrote.

"As it turns out I was wrong… the album dropped and exceeded all my expectations and my life changed massively again, and I slowly realised the music was pretty good, again, which gave me a new sense of purpose, and the cycle starts again…."
