'Take 5 With Zan Rowe' Season Two Trailer Drops

In September, Zan Rowe revealed that her music-focused podcast-turned-television-series, Take 5, is coming back to our screens on ABC TV and iView this month.

Take 5 With Zan Rowe returns on Tuesday, 10 October, at 8 pm and will find Rowe joined by Oasis legend Noel Gallagher, Scottish-Australian Cold Chisel rocker and solo artist Jimmy Barnes, rising star and Mike Shinoda collaborator G Flip, Logie-nominated actor Mark Coles Smith, Natalie Imbruglia, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Today, the trailer for the hotly-anticipated second season drops, with the star-studded guests revealing little tidbits of themselves in the 90-second teaser.

“Music was everything for me. It was my way of escaping mayhem,” Jimmy Barnes said in the trailer. Lin-Manuel Miranda quipped, “I grew up one neighbourhood over from hip-hop as it was being born.” Natalie Imbruglia used to say that she wanted to be a star, “which makes me cringe now”, while Mark Coles Smith revealed that his grandmother had an affair with David Bowie.

Noel Gallagher, offering a pearl of wisdom, said, “You get one shot at life. Why be unhappy? You’re just wasting a precious thing.” To G Flip, music is extra special as it can “evoke so much emotion in someone.”
