Melbourne metal/hard rock outfit, Sydonia, have announced that lead guitarist Sam Haycroft has left the band.

The band made the announcement yesterday over social media, and also revealed that a permanent replacement will be added soon, and that their third full-length album won't be hindered in any way by Haycroft's departure and that it's still on it's way to being finished and released. Here's hoping it's smooth sailing from here on in.

"Dear Glovers, we are sad to say that our lead guitarist, Sam Haycroft will no longer be performing on the stage with Sydonia. Sam has decided to step down from Sydonia and will focus on his duties with his family. We will miss him in the band and his personality on stage probably could not be matched. We will be performing with a second guitarist for these shows coming up. While he won't be physically on stage with us, he will still be helping us out a little behind the scenes. We have shared amazing moments in the band with Sam - touring the US and playing shows with Slipknot, Lamb of God, Korn, Machine Head, Trivium, Stone Sour, Dead Letter Circus and so many more - and recording and releasing so much great music. Thank you for all the great times, Sam. We will continue on as Sydonia, the 3rd album will go ahead and we will add a permanent fourth member in the future. Much Glove, Dana, Adam and Sean."
